Introduction

If there ever was a day when God’s children need to hear His voice and take it seriously, it is today.
Today the biggest obstacle we face is not developing a close, personal, and conversational relationship with Him.
We are all facing moments in our daily lives when we need to know how to solve our daily problems, make important decisions and say the right things.

In this blog, I hope to give you a reason and the tools to help you face these serious life challenges.
It is vital that today when we hear God’s voice do not harden your hearts! Hebrews 3:14-19 and 4:7

Here’s A Bit Of My Story

As a young man, my heart toward God was as hard as a rock. It wasn’t until God’s presence encountered me, and some dear Christians shared the good news with me, that my heart became soft and tender toward Jesus Christ.

This is when my journey of daily hearing and heeding God’s voice left me fulfilled, blessed, and full of His purpose bringing overwhelming peace and joy into my life.

How God Speaks To Us

The voice of God speaks to us in and through these three basic channels:

    1. Spirit
    2. Soul
    3. Body

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (blended NLT and Passion Bible)
“Now may the God of peace and harmony set you apart, make you completely holy in every way and may your entire being your whole spirit and soul and body be kept completely flawless and blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ the Anointed One comes again.”

Five Ways To Hear God’s Voice

    1. We hear it by His Word. John 1:1-5,14; 2 Timothy 3:16 and 17; Psalms 119:105
    2. We hear it by His Spirit. John 14:15-17 and 26 – the Holy Spirit is our advocate and  leads us into all truth;  Luke 12:12 – the Holy Spirit teaches us
    3. We hear it through His humans. God uses humanity to project His voice into humanity. Hebrews 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Samual 23:2
As God’s sons and daughters, we are His images capable of releasing His Word and the power of His Spirit into everyone around us.
    4. We hear it by His Holy angels. Luke 1:19 and 26-27; Acts 8:26
    5. We hear it through His creation. Romans 10; Psalms 19:1-4

Benefits Of Obeying God’s Voice

Hearing and obeying God’s voice will benefit you in the following ways:

    • Perfect peace and rest
    • Protection from the enemy’s voice and attacks
    • Brings good health into your spirit, soul and body. God’s voice is wholesome!
    • Advances God’s Kingdom in the earth
    • When God speaks it reverberates from heaven into the earth. God encounters are indelibly etched into your memory.

Conclusion

In closing, I’ll quote Max Lucado:

“The Holy Spirit can do more in one encounter than the best pastor can do with a million sermons, or the best counselor can do with a thousand sessions. The society we live in is so secularized that we don’t trust anything that is not science based. The Holy Spirit is the presence of the loving God. When Jesus described the Holy Spirit, He called Him the wind, as if to say He’s going to come when He wants. He does not respond to us, we are not rubbing the Aladdin lamp and He’s going to pop out.  He love us, He seals our salvation, He intercedes for us when we pray, He comes along side as the comforter of the weary. The Holy Spirit can do more than anything this physical world has to offer! ONE ENCOUNTER!!”

Today, when you hear God’s voice do not harden your hearts! Choose humility and gratitude!!
